Two or three old guys, a sailing boat, no particular destination, some free time. What more do you need to know?

2015 Exiting The Rip

Just for the record, we got away on time, hitting The Rip's slack water escape window precisely. This put us outside Port Phillip Bay by 10am.

Here's a pic taken just before we entered The Rip.

Transit was easy with light northerly winds and low swell.

Destination today is Cleeland Bight, on the SE corner of Phillip Island, some 40 nm (about 70 km) along the coast. There we'll shelter for the night before proceeding with our plan to arrive at Refuge Cove, Wilson's Promontory, on Sunday evening.

This blog post was sent from my iPad onboard Karizma.
